The AYD Cross is set to arrive in our parish on September 8, 2009 and preparations are made to make this event a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone especially the youth in our parish. This year's theme is "Young Asians, Come Togeteher, Share the Word and Live the Eucharist".
The Parish Commission on Youth of ICP-CMB, headed by it's hardworking president, Mr. Jan Robin Rodriguez, with the guidance of Malolos Vicarial Chairman, Ms. Rhon Rubiano, takes the lead in the preparations and coordinating with concerned groups to ensure a smooth flow of activities for the Cross' visit in our parish.
The AYD Cross started it's pilgrimage around the Philippines last June from the host-diocese of Imus in Cavite. It has toured through the Southern Tagalog and Bicol Regions the whole month of June and has gone around Western, Central and Eastern Visayas this July. The Mindanao-Sulu pilgrimage is slated on August and it shall be in Central Luzon on the first-half of September and Northern Luzon for the rest of the month. The Military Ordinariate and the Federation of National Youth Organizations is scheduled to have the Cross by October. The pilgrimage will be concluded in the NCR on November 1-23 then it will go back to the host-diocese of Imus Cavite on November 23-27.
This is truly a great chance for formation and celebration of the youth in our parish as well as an opportunity to be in communion with other Asian brothers and sisters through prayer and reflection.
